Requirements
- Must be ARRT(N) or NMTCB certified
- Must meet requirements to perform PET/CT
- Must be CPR Certified
- Must be a registered NYS Technologist
Responsibilities
- Perform PET/CT scans.
- Prepare, calculate, and administer radioactive drugs to patients based on weight and protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, insert IV catheters, monitor patients, and ensure comfort during imaging.
- Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols (ALARA), maintain equipment, perform quality control, and maintain patient records according to regulatory standards.
- Work with radiologists, physicians, and medical physicists to review images for quality and clinical accuracy.
