About The Position

Floofins & Company, a family-owned dog-walking and pet-sitting company, is hiring a part-time Pet Care Specialist for its weekend team. This combined role includes both dog walking and in-home pet sitting on a regular route serving Elmhurst, Wheaton, La Grange, Lisle, and nearby communities. Weekend shifts include two visit blocks with breaks between routes. Applicants may choose a morning route, an afternoon/evening route, or indicate flexibility based on coverage needs. The role offers independent outdoor work and supplemental income.

Requirements

• Be consistently available every Saturday and Sunday.
• Be able to work one shift or both shifts as weekend coverage needs require.
• Have reliable personal transportation and a reasonable commute to the Elmhurst-area service region.
• Be punctual, dependable, and comfortable working independently in all weather.
• Be able to commit for 6–12 months.
• Be available to work holidays, including major holidays.
• Be willing to complete reference checks, a background check, and a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct private neighborhood dog walks in Elmhurst, Wheaton, La Grange, Lisle, and nearby areas.
• Provide in-home pet sitting, including feeding pets, providing fresh water, and litter care.
• Perform basic home care services for vacation clients.
• Administer pet medications when required.
• Send clients real-time visit updates and photos through the mobile app.
• Maintain a reliable, consistent weekend route across a split-shift schedule.
