About The Position

Wellington Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Pet Care Attendant to join their exceptional team. They are a six-doctor mixed-animal practice located in Wellington, Ohio, primarily treating dogs, cats, horses, small ruminants, and large ruminants. Their team handles a diverse range of cases, including preventive care, complex medical cases, routine and advanced surgeries, and dentistry. They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about coming to work, passionate about patient care, and excited to be part of a supportive, collaborative clinic culture where positivity matters, even on the busiest days.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional care for boarding and hospitalized patients, including feeding, medicating, potty breaks, and clean, dry bedding
  • Support professional client interactions during boarder admissions and discharges
  • Provide periodic updates to clients regarding boarding patients
  • Safely and effectively handle and restrain patients using Fear Free techniques
  • Stay alert to pet behavior to help avoid injury
  • Recognize and report medical concerns to the medical team
  • Maintain accurate boarding patient records
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with teammates
  • Perform general facility cleaning and laundry
  • Assist technicians during surgery and clean and sterilize surgical instruments
  • Open and restock medications and supplies throughout the clinic
  • Process laboratory samples
  • Support daily hospital operations with reliability, positivity, and care
