About The Position
Douds Veterinary Hospital is looking for a compassionate and dependable Kennel Attendant to join our team. Kennel team members play an essential role in providing daily care for hospitalized and boarding patients while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys working with animals and wants to build hands-on experience in veterinary medicine while being part of a supportive and collaborative team. - Ability to lift and carry animals, supplies, and food bags with assistance when needed

Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care for boarding and hospitalized patients
- Feed pets and monitor appetites and behavior
- Clean and sanitize cages, runs, litter boxes, food and water bowls, and hospital areas
- Bathe and brush patients as needed
- Maintain laundry for the kennel and hospital
- Help maintain hospital cleanliness and organization throughout the day
- Assist doctors and technicians with patient restraint and medication administration as directed
- Collect urine and fecal samples when needed
- Monitor patients and report unusual behavior or medical concerns to the veterinary team
- Help maintain hospital grounds and assist with light facility upkeep
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance protocols
