About The Position

Countryside Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Pet Care Attendant! This full-time role involves caring for pets in both the kennel and hospital areas, ensuring they are walked, fed, and settled into clean, comfortable spaces. The ideal candidate is dependable, enjoys working independently, and brings a caring, compassionate attitude. This position offers hands-on work with dogs and cats, gaining experience across both the kennel and hospital sides of a veterinary practice, and the independence to own your work while being part of a supportive team.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Experience in a customer service environment (required)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
• A caring, compassionate attitude toward pets and people
• Availability to work nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Walk dogs, including both hospitalized patients and boarding guests
• Clean and sanitize dog runs and cages and cat cages in the kennel and hospital areas
• Feed boarding pets according to their individual feeding instructions
• Keep the kennel area clean, organized, and welcoming
• Interact with clients in a friendly, professional way during drop-off, pick-up, and other daily contact
