About The Position
Countryside Veterinary Hospital is hiring a Pet Care Attendant to care for pets in both their kennel and hospital areas. The role involves ensuring pets are walked, fed, and settled into clean, comfortable spaces. The ideal candidate is dependable, enjoys working independently, and possesses a caring and compassionate attitude. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience in both the kennel and hospital aspects of a veterinary practice, working with boarding guests and hospitalized patients. Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience in a customer service environment (required)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
- A caring, compassionate attitude toward pets and people
- Availability to work nights and weekends
Responsibilities
- Walk dogs, including both hospitalized patients and boarding guests
- Clean and sanitize dog runs and cages and cat cages in the kennel and hospital areas
- Feed boarding pets according to their individual feeding instructions
- Keep the kennel area clean, organized, and welcoming
- Interact with clients in a friendly, professional way during drop-off, pick-up, and other daily contact
