About The Position

Animal Medical Center of the Lowcountry is hiring a Pet Care Attendant (Boarding Kennel Attendant). This part-time role has the potential to grow into full-time. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, dependable, and compassionate, with a love for dogs, a desire to stay active, and an interest in working alongside a supportive veterinary team. Pet Care Attendants are essential in ensuring boarding guests receive exceptional care, attention, and love. This position offers an opportunity to grow within veterinary medicine and learn from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional daily care for boarding pets
• Supervise outdoor and potty time while ensuring the safety of every pet
• Evaluate new boarding pets to help determine whether they are a good fit for the facility
• Feed, medicate, and monitor boarding pets according to their care instructions
• Clean kennels, runs, cages, and boarding areas according to hospital sanitation standards
• Observe pets for signs of illness, stress, or behavioral changes
• Communicate health or behavioral concerns promptly to the veterinary team
• Support veterinary staff with patient care and daily hospital operations as needed
• Maintain accurate care records and follow established boarding protocols
• Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for every pet in our care
