Pest Control Technician (Temple,Tx)
About The Position
The Bug Master is a rapidly growing pest control company headquartered in Austin, TX, with additional locations in Temple, Houston, and San Marcos. As a pest control technician, you will work largely independently, traveling in a company-provided vehicle to client locations (residential, commercial, and apartments) to provide pest control services and resolve pest issues. You will take your company vehicle home and start and end your day there.
Requirements
- Travel throughout the community (BugMaster service area) 67 – 100 % of the time to service customers.
- Constant utilization of the telephone including the Company issued cell phone.
- Requires constant sitting for long periods of time (when driving).
- Requires constant mental alertness.
- Requires frequent walking (34 – 66 %)
- Requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Requires frequent ability to lift up to 50 #’s.
- Must possess the ability to climb heights using ladders.
- Must be able to work on roofs.
- Must be able to endure high levels of noise.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires the ability to operate a vehicle and other mechanical equipment.
- Daily work is performed in heated/air conditioned facilities and outdoors with exposure to all elements for extended periods of time.
- Work is performed using many variations of chemicals including but not limited to the following: Liquids, Baits, Aerosols, Dusts, Traps, and industry equipment.
- Possess the ability to communicate clearly and learn technical, industry related data pertaining to pest control and safety standards.
- Display a positive demeanor and ability to interact with others in a pleasing, professional way.
- Have a clean-cut image, sense of pride, integrity, attention to detail, and organizational ability.
Responsibilities
- Provide pest control services to clients.
- Resolve pest issues for residential, commercial, and apartment clients.
- Travel throughout the BugMaster service area to service customers.
- Utilize company-provided vehicle.
- Communicate clearly and learn technical, industry-related data pertaining to pest control and safety standards.
- Interact with others in a pleasing, professional way.
