As a Termite Technician within the Rentokil family of companies, you will play a crucial role in protecting customer properties from wood-destroying organisms. Requirements

  • Clean shaven face - for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
  • At least 1 years of customer service
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
  • Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels
  • Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
  • Prepare the job site for treatment
  • Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces
  • Climb over and on top of structures
  • Ascend and descend stairs and ladders
  • Comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder
  • Comfortable working in small confined spaces
  • Ability to work on roofs and high areas
  • Regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator
  • Okay with regularly working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways (anywhere the critters live)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in termite control is a plus
  • General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
  • Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
  • Applying anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
  • Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
  • Verifying that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
  • Completing production forms documenting services provided
  • Interacting with customers and explaining services provided
