As a Pest Control Technician, you will spend your day helping people in the community by solving their pest issues and building long-term relationships through honesty, empathy, and outstanding customer service. You will travel to appointments and meet with customers to assess pest problems in and around their homes and workplaces, executing specialized treatment plans. You will seek to solve existing pest problems and recommend corrective actions to prevent future issues.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills.
  • Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc.
  • Valid driver's license for at least 3 years with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.).
  • Availability to work some weekends.
  • High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Solve pest issues for customers.
  • Build long-term relationships with customers.
  • Assess pest problems in homes and workplaces.
  • Execute specialized treatment plans.
  • Recommend corrective actions to prevent pest issues.
  • Safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
  • Position yourself to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces.
  • Safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions.
  • Assist in various service departments within the branch as needed.
  • Measure and mix product applications accurately.
  • Operate a variety of hand tools and equipment safely.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes an OSHA-compliant respirator in some cases.
  • Utilize computers and smartphones for technical proficiency.
