About The Position

ABC Home & Commercial Services is seeking a detail-oriented, professional, diligent, and accountable individual to join their team as a Pest Control Technician for Residential services. This role involves learning and applying specialized knowledge of pest control treatments to serve customers effectively. Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application.
  • Ability to work on roofs, high heights, ladders & crawlspaces.
  • Dependable and disciplined with a desire to work year-round.
  • Serious, sincere, and cooperative demeanor.
  • Ability to manage specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence.
  • Ability to adhere to guidelines & procedures set by both ABC & Texas Department of Agriculture.
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Ability to work inside and/or outside for long periods of time, sometimes in extreme temperatures.
  • Must maintain an active Driver’s License and be insurable.
  • Proficient in the use of electronics including company phone and software.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous pest control experience.
  • Desired experience working with routes, service stops, and meeting deadlines of your service route.

Responsibilities

  • Listen to customer concerns regarding pest control services and suggest appropriate treatments or solutions.
  • Identify various pests, their sources, and develop solutions for elimination and prevention.
  • Apply chemicals and/or mix solutions in liquid, powder, or gas forms, and use other extermination techniques inside and around homes or buildings.
  • Prioritize workload, work under pressure, and handle irate customers while maintaining composure.
  • Maintain all requirements by TDA licensing authority and attend continuing education courses.
  • Maintain a professional attitude at all times with customers, fellow employees, and supervisors.
  • Proficiently use electronics, including company phone and software, to perform job-related tasks.
