Pest Control Service Technician
About The Position
Bug Zero is hiring a Pest Control Service Technician to inspect homes and businesses, diagnose pest problems, recommend solutions, and apply pest control treatments. Technicians work independently, travel directly from home to client locations in a take-home company vehicle, and build relationships with recurring clients. They also educate clients about preventing pest issues and complete work orders on a company-issued iPad while maintaining their vehicle and equipment. No pest control experience is required. Bug Zero provides paid 90-day training at $20 per hour, with strong performers quickly earning $22 or more per hour afterward. The company describes first-year earnings of $42,000–$45,000 or more and notes that many experienced technicians earn over $50,000 annually. The schedule is Monday through Friday with no weekends. The role involves working in crawlspaces, attics, and outdoors, including varying weather conditions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and at least three years of driving experience.
- Acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Integrity, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in crawlspaces, attics, and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to kneel, bend, reach, climb, and crawl as needed.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical ability test, and background screening.
