Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Personnel Security Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to monitor and assign priorities to cases specified by the government.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of related experience.
  • Active Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an SCI.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CI POLY.
  • Experience supporting personnel security, investigations, case management, or related security operations.
  • Knowledge of security clearance processes, background investigations, and personnel security programs.
  • Familiarity with IRTPA, DNI performance metrics, and CE/CV requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and data management skills.
  • Experience preparing metrics, status reports, briefings, and performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and case management/tracking systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the assignment, tracking, prioritization, and status of approximately 1,800 personnel security investigation cases annually.
  • Monitor case progress and ensure investigations are completed within established IRTPA, DNI, and CE/CV performance requirements and timelines.
  • Review and maintain case records to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and error-free entry within case management systems.
  • Assign and adjust case priorities in accordance with Government direction and mission requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly written status reports on background investigations to Government leadership and designated stakeholders.
  • Collect, analyze, and provide data supporting the development of DNI Quarterly Metrics Reports and other required performance metrics.
  • Track investigation throughout the security clearance process to ensure compliance with Government performance standards.
  • Support the preparation of monthly personnel security metrics briefings and presentation materials for Government leadership.
  • Identify, assess, and elevate processing delays, workflow impediments, and case management bottlenecks, while recommending corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Maintain investigation tracking databases, status reports, and associated documentation within shared PERSEC repositories, ensuring current versions are accessible and historical records are properly archived.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of electronic and shared-file records to ensure documentation is organized, clearly labeled, searchable, and maintained in accordance with established document management standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel, case managers, adjudicators, and investigative service providers to support effective case resolution and reporting requirements.
