About The Position

The Powhatan YMCA is seeking certified Personal Trainers to design and implement exercise programs and work closely with members. Personal Trainers are paid $20–$23 per hour; Advanced Personal Trainers are paid $27–$31 per hour.

Trainers should be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate member needs. It is preferred that they also work as Wellness Coaches, using that time to build relationships with members, provide equipment orientations, conduct fitness evaluations, clean equipment, and assist members on the wellness floor.

Requirements

• Current nationally recognized personal trainer certification, such as ACSM, NSCA, ACE, or AFFA.
• CPR certification.
• AED certification.
• First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

• Work hours as a Wellness Coach to support members and wellness-floor operations.
