The personal trainer will assess the client's baseline fitness level, which may include range of motion, postural and flexibility assessments, movement analysis, muscular strength and endurance, cardiorespiratory fitness, and body composition. The personal trainer will develop an individualized fitness plan geared toward weight loss and prevention of muscle wasting. The client's progress towards goals will be assessed at each visit with identification of any barriers and a new plan will be established in collaboration with the client and family if a minor. The personal trainer will teach the client proper exercise techniques and safety, as well as basic exercise physiology. The personal trainer will guide and motivate the client at each visit to assist them with meeting their goals as they progress through their weight loss journey and weight maintenance phase. The personal trainer will document in the plan of care at each visit to reflect the client's progress towards healthy lifestyle changes. The personal trainer may also provide group exercise instruction.
