About The Position

This role involves accommodating the unique needs and goals of each member through fitness assessments, guiding them towards safe and effective fitness programming. The Personal Trainer will empower and educate members about fitness offerings, build relationships, and assist in booking one-on-one training sessions. They will develop and lead personalized training sessions, monitor and instruct members on equipment usage, and act as an active floor trainer to motivate members. The role also includes assisting members with goal setting, motivating workouts, encouraging fitness plans, and promoting personal training and group fitness classes. Ensuring member satisfaction and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization on the fitness floor are key. The Personal Trainer will stay updated on industry trends, support the Club Manager, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of personal training experience in a fitness environment.
  • Nationally Certified Training Certificate must be current or obtained before start date.
  • CPR/AED Certification must be current or obtained.
  • Must be able to lift upward of 50lbs.
  • Must be able to climb and descend stairs multiple times a day.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in field preferred (Exercise Science, Physiology, Kinesiology, or Sport Management).
  • Enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable about the local community fitness industry.
  • Able to interact in a positive and professional way with members, exceeding the members’ expectations.
  • Organized and structured, coupled with a warm and friendly nature.

Responsibilities

  • Accommodate the unique needs and goals of each member, including fitness assessments to help them choose safe and effective fitness programming that aligns with their goals.
  • Empower and educate members with a clear understanding of fitness program offerings and build relationships.
  • Help book clients for one-on-one personal training as requested.
  • Develop and lead one-on-one personal training sessions tailored to members' goals.
  • Monitor and instruct members on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength training equipment.
  • Act as an active floor trainer, educating members on fitness techniques to motivate them.
  • Assist members in creating goals, motivating workouts, encouraging fitness plans, and promoting personal training and group fitness classes.
  • Monitor member satisfaction to ensure a consistently evolving world-class fitness experience.
  • Conduct walk-throughs of the club to ensure the floor is photo-ready, equipment is stored neatly, and the space reflects the brand experience.
  • Stay updated on current and new trends in the fitness industry to elevate members' fitness techniques.
  • Support the Club Manager as a strategic team player.
  • Perform any other tasks and/or duties as assigned by management.
