About The Position
University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team in Temperance, MI. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to clients, assisting them with daily activities to improve their quality of life and promote independence.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and assist with mobility.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a Personal Support Worker or similar role is an asset, but NOT required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a plus.
- Certification or training in personal support care is an asset, but NOT required.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for clients at all times.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare professionals.
