Requirements

Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate or approved equivalent
First Aid & CPR certification
Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Ability to travel between client homes in your region
Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal care instructions
Vulnerable Sector Check required prior to start

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors or individuals with chronic conditions
Nursing students or internationally trained nurses — welcome to apply
Previous homecare experience
Every other weekend availability

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and hygiene assistance
Support mobility, transfers, and safe movement — including mechanical lifts
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including dressing, grooming, and toileting
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when required
Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support
Monitor client wellbeing and report changes in condition to the care team
Follow individualized care plans and document care activities accurately
Support clients with light household tasks related to their care
Accompany clients during outings or appointments when required
