As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will deliver a great customer service experience by demonstrating compassion and empathy towards residents, family members, and the team.

Requirements

Personal Support Worker Certification from a certified educational facility OR internationally educated nurse
Strong drive, respect, and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
Strong written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one

Nice To Haves

Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required

Responsibilities

Support and deliver all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident’s needs, including ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship, and nutritional support.
Act as an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team, building trusted relationships with residents, families, and teams through continuous and effective communication.
Document the completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform throughout the shift.
Quickly identify and communicate changes in resident care needs to clinical leads.
