As a Personal Support Worker (PSW), you will deliver a great customer service experience by demonstrating compassion and empathy towards residents, family members, and the team.

Requirements

  • Personal Support Worker Certification from a certified educational facility OR internationally educated nurse
  • Strong drive, respect, and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
  • Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
  • Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one

Nice To Haves

  • Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required

Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident’s needs, including ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship, and nutritional support.
  • Act as an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team, building trusted relationships with residents, families, and teams through continuous and effective communication.
  • Document the completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform throughout the shift.
  • Quickly identify and communicate changes in resident care needs to clinical leads.
