Personal Support Assistant (PSA) / Caregiver - 24/7 Live-In
About The Position
Dungarvin is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as Personal Support Assistants/Caregivers. This is a 24/7 live-in opportunity where you will support individuals with physical, emotional, and/or intellectual disabilities in living self-directed lives. The role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, safety, and meaningful community inclusion by fostering a warm, family-like atmosphere. You will work collaboratively with the program director and team members to develop, implement, and evaluate participant supports, and report any concerns to supervisors. This position offers the chance to make a real difference in someone's life.

- 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license required (due to transporting persons served)
- Candidates must be comfortable driving to transport persons served as required
- Some positions/locations may require your own personal vehicle and auto liability insurance based on the role
- A successful background clearance is required as part of the onboarding/employment process
- Good communication skills (reading, writing, and verbal) for documenting care, following support plans, and collaborating with team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with daily living activities, personal care needs, meal preparation, household tasks, budgeting, shopping, and community participation.
- Encourage positive choices, support personal goals, and advocate for each participant’s needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
- Support healthcare needs, meal preparation, budgeting, shopping, and supervision as needed.
- Communicate participant needs, goals, and concerns to the program director or lead staff.
- Work cooperatively with team members to provide consistent, person-centered support.
