About The Position

As a Personal Shopper at Meijer, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional curbside experience for customers. You will use technology to fulfill customer online orders for the Meijer Pickup Service. This involves selecting items with care, ensuring orders are accurate and fresh, and providing friendly, efficient service. The position aims to drive customer loyalty and satisfaction by providing remarkable service at the curbside pick-up area with fast, friendly, and accurate order fulfillment and payment collection. You will maintain a positive working relationship with customers, team members, and leadership, presenting a courteous and friendly attitude and responding to customer questions and needs. You will resolve customer complaints quickly, utilizing leadership when needed. The role involves receiving workflow from a dashboard, fulfilling orders by selecting products within the store, bagging them appropriately, and storing them correctly in the staging area following food safety guidelines. You will greet each customer, take payment, and ensure an easy shopping experience, while also maintaining a clean and neat work environment. This job profile may include other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent required.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Strong communication skills.
General awareness of food safety regulations.
Detail oriented and organized.
Process driven and ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.

Nice To Haves

1-3 years of experience in a Meijer store preferred.
Past cashier experience preferred.
Previous, curbside/ecommerce, cashier, food service, Shipt, Instacart or retail experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Drive customer loyalty and satisfaction by providing remarkable service at the curbside pick-up area with fast, friendly and accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
Maintain a positive working relationship with customers, team members, and leadership.
Present a courteous and friendly attitude towards customers (in person and on phone) and respond to their questions and needs.
Resolve customer complaints quickly by contacting leadership when needed.
Receive workflow from dashboard and fulfill orders for the day.
Utilize selection process for product within the store and bag product appropriately following bagging standards.
Store product correctly in the staging area following food safety guidelines.
Greet each customer and take payment for the order ensuring an easy shopping experience.
Maintain a clean and neat work environment.
