About The Position

Personal Lines Service Agents are essential members of our client service team, helping customers navigate their insurance needs with confidence and care. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for personal lines clients, handling inbound service requests and providing timely, knowledgeable support. Responsibilities include processing policy changes, answering billing questions, issuing certificates and ID cards, verifying coverage, assisting with renewals, and helping clients better understand their insurance coverage. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. The location for this position is in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh.

Requirements

  • Property & Casualty license preferred, or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple service requests efficiently.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and compliance.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
  • Insurance experience preferred, but candidates with strong administrative or customer service backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, responsive service to personal lines customers through phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Assist clients with policy servicing needs including endorsements, renewals, billing inquiries, payments, ID cards, and coverage verification.
  • Review customer accounts to ensure policies remain accurate and up to date.
  • Help identify coverage gaps and educate clients on available coverage options that support their needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and policy activity.
  • Follow up on outstanding service items to ensure timely resolution and excellent customer experience.
  • Utilize agency systems and carrier technology to efficiently complete service requests and daily tasks.
  • Apply knowledge of personal lines products, carrier guidelines, and agency procedures to support clients effectively.
  • Prepare and send correspondence and policy-related documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and agency leadership to support overall service operations.
  • Provide occasional service support on commercial policies, including policy changes, payments, certificates, and ID cards.
