About The Position

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for our clients. This position includes supporting the sales team in evaluating and managing personal accounts, while also taking ownership of client relationships and handling multiple accounts with growing independence and responsibility. This individual demonstrates excellent communication skills, exceptional customer service, project management skills, and a broad understanding of insurance coverages.

Requirements

  • A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor's degree, and a minimum of 5 years in personal insurance service
  • Active insurance license
  • Demonstrated success in customer service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with organizational skills, demonstrating ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to identify problems and lead by example
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends to attend events and meetings as needed

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active property and casualty insurance license
  • Work collaboratively on a team to monitor and complete tasks in different workflows including, but not limited to: shared email inboxes, phone ring groups, and the agency documentation system
  • Maintain client files in the agency management system following standard company policies and procedures, ensuring #oneTEAM’s mission of service
  • Maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers and underwriting teams
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through advising and responding to all correspondence in a quick and accurate manner
  • Process policy changes including mortgage changes, auto and property additions and deletions, address changes, and more
  • Handle all cancellations with care, with adherence to E&O guidelines
  • Answer questions regarding all lines of coverage, and assisting with plan and/or carrier changes, claims, and billing
  • Review policies for correct coverage, soliciting rewrite quotes when necessary
  • Communicate and educate clients on policies as needed
  • Support Risk Advisors by exercising independent judgment and discretion to: Analyze markets for competitive pricing and develop insurance solutions for current clients, Review carrier quotes, look for gaps in coverage, prepare proposals, and maintain client applications
  • Receive and process new business, renewals, and cancellations
  • Schedule, attend, and participate in personal lines meetings, trainings, and classes
  • Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with partner insurance carriers
  • Strive to return phone calls, messages, and emails on the same business day
  • Enter activity and other relevant documentation accurately into the company’s software system(s) in accordance with company procedures

  • Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions
