The Personal Insurance Client Advisor will be an integral part of the Personal Insurance department, working collaboratively to meet client needs and protect their assets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Property/Casualty License Required
  • Maintain License through continuing education.
  • One to Three or more years of Insurance Experience is preferred
  • Strong expertise and knowledge in policy coverage
  • Customer Service Experience required
  • Ability to use menu-driven software in addition to Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a “team” environment
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a book of business, building relationships with clients and ensuring efficient and accurate account activities.
  • Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, and claims processing.
  • Advise clients on the company's value proposition, emphasizing comprehensive coverage over price.
  • Conduct coverage and exposure reviews with existing clients, informing them about the importance of adequate coverage.
  • Reach out to new clients within 30-45 days of their effective date for a personal introduction, to address any outstanding issues, and confirm communication preferences.
  • Review potential non-renewal issues with management.
  • Discuss reinstatement eligibility or rewrite options with carriers.
  • Quote and issue mid-term rewrites as needed.
  • Review renewal increases over established thresholds, seeking rate relief from the incumbent carrier or tasking the Placement Specialist team if marketing is necessary.
  • Contact clients who have cancelled or requested cancellation to understand reasons, establish controls to resolicit coverage, and earn back business.
  • Communicate directly with insurance company underwriters to resolve issues and protect client insurability.
  • Document all interactions with clients and carriers in the company system.
  • Obtain and update client's primary contact information, focusing on email address and best contact phone number.
  • Advise existing clients on preferred premium payment methods.
  • Confirm appropriate tasks are created and followed up on in the company system for client servicing.
  • Handle Reg. 34 issues and follow up with the DMV to resolve potential license/registration suspensions.
  • Keep clients informed throughout the entire process.
  • Meet established metrics and expectations for the position, including account servicing activity, referral activity, call volume, attendance, and quality control audits.
  • Handle routine service matters when PL Assistants are not available, such as Carco, insured payments, ID cards, binders, and payments.
  • Continuously stay informed on important insurance coverage issues.
  • Stay current with primary insurance companies' underwriting guidelines, premium saving credits, and technology platforms.
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skills and knowledge development.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, policies, and procedures, and meet all training requirements.
