About The Position

This position is fully on-site in Miami Lakes. The Personal Injury Manager – Reductions is responsible for leading, optimizing, and scaling the firm’s Reductions Department — a critical post-settlement function that ensures accurate, compliant, and strategic handling of settlements, negotiated settlements, and settlement agreements. This role plays a key part in maximizing case value by overseeing claims negotiation, insurance negotiations, and adjuster negotiations, ensuring all settlement offers, counteroffers, and final settlement authority decisions align with firm standards and client outcomes. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader with deep experience in high-volume personal injury operations and a strong command of negotiation strategy and execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in legal operations, personal injury, settlements, or claims negotiation environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in insurance negotiations, adjuster negotiations, and managing high-volume negotiated settlements.
  • Experience managing teams of 10+ in performance-driven environments.
  • Proven ability to drive KPIs related to settlement efficiency, negotiation outcomes, and financial results.
  • Proficiency in Litify (Salesforce), Excel, and BI tools.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage the Reductions team to meet performance goals related to case turnaround times, settlement outcomes, and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee all workflows tied to post-settlement activities, including settlement agreements, lien reductions, and final disbursement processes.
  • Establish and maintain KPIs, including settlement cycle times, monthly deposits, and closing statement execution timelines.
  • Monitor productivity, workload balance, and team performance using Litify and BI dashboards.
  • Analyze workflows across settlements and reductions to identify inefficiencies impacting negotiation timelines or settlement resolution speed.
  • Implement enhancements to streamline claims negotiation processes, insurance negotiation strategies, and documentation of settlement offers and counteroffers.
  • Partner with Intake/Senior Case Manager and Medical Management teams to ensure seamless transition from active case handling to settlement and post-settlement execution.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs governing settlement authority protocols, negotiation workflows, and compliance standards.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight on negotiated settlements, including claims negotiation, insurance negotiations, and adjuster negotiations.
  • Guide Specialists on evaluating and responding to settlement offers and counteroffers to maximize client recovery.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all negotiation activities, including settlement authority approvals and finalized settlement agreements.
  • Maintain strict compliance with firm standards requiring all reductions and negotiation actions to be initiated within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Deliver ongoing coaching on negotiation techniques, including effective handling of insurance adjusters, structuring counteroffers, and closing negotiated settlements.
  • Conduct performance reviews based on metrics such as settlement success rates, negotiation efficiency, and reduction outcomes.
  • Facilitate training programs focused on advanced negotiation strategy, settlement positioning, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure clients receive clear, timely communication regarding settlement offers, negotiation progress, and final settlement agreements.
  • Maintain transparency around settlement authority decisions and negotiated outcomes to strengthen client trust.
  • Partner with leadership to enhance the overall post-settlement client experience, ensuring accuracy, speed, and professionalism.
