About The Position
A PI Attorney is in charge of taking a case through litigation and getting the best possible compensation for our clients. This involves preparing every case as if it were to go to trial, and also helping the pre-litigation side as support. This position requires a deep understanding of Washington State’s personal injury laws, strong litigation skills, and a client-focused approach. As a Personal Injury Attorney, you will handle a diverse caseload involving motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall incidents, and Washington workers' compensation cases.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of professional work experience
- Active bar STRONGLY preferred in Texas, Illinois, and Washington
- Litigation experience for personal injury
- Proven interest in personal injury law, with a passion for assisting clients in their personal injury journey.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and immigration forms.
- Ability to follow structured processes and achieve specific KPIs.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
Responsibilities
- Analyze cases to understand the severity of injuries, evaluate the merits of each case, and provide legal advice on possible outcomes and strategies.
- Work with insurance companies, opposing attorneys, or other parties to negotiate the best possible settlements for clients.
- Advocate for the highest possible compensation for clients, including damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, and other losses.
- Represent clients in court during hearings, motions, mediations, arbitrations and trials when a settlement is not reached.
- Review and file legal paperwork, including complaints, motions, and discovery requests, within the required deadlines.
- Stay current with changes in Washington state personal injury law to ensure accurate advice and effective representation.
