About The Position

The Personal Financial Administrator provides individualized financial administration and coaching to participants in the Financial Management HUB (FM HUB) program. Working directly with clients, the role supports financial stability, literacy, and empowerment through tailored, strengths-based services aligned with established financial empowerment practices. Reporting to the Team Lead, the Personal Financial Administrator collaborates with team members and community partners to address financial barriers and deliver person-centered, trauma-informed support that promotes long-term stability and well-being.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, social work, community service or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in financial coaching, financial administration, or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, debt management, and financial literacy practices.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals facing financial and housing instability.
  • Proven ability to provide person-centered, trauma-informed support while building trusting client relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, spreadsheets, databases, and financial software, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Applicants are required to submit a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Intervention Record Check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized financial coaching and administration services to support participant financial empowerment.
  • Assist participants with budgeting, goal setting, debt management, and overcoming financial barriers.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor personalized financial action plans, adjusting as needs evolve.
  • Facilitate access to financial resources, including benefits, tax services, and financial literacy supports.
  • Manage participant financial transactions, including in-trust accounts, bill payments, and record-keeping.
  • Conduct intake assessments and ongoing check-ins to track progress toward financial and housing stability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners while maintaining accurate reporting and contributing to program improvement.
