Full-time Personal Chef - Philadelphia, PA
About The Position
This full-time personal chef position offers a unique opportunity for culinary professionals seeking better work-life balance and career growth compared to traditional sous chef or line cook roles. The position operates Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, providing evenings and weekends off. In this role, you will serve 8-9 clients weekly, managing grocery shopping, meal planning, cooking, and kitchen cleanup. You will have the freedom to explore various cuisines and build relationships with clients who value your culinary skills. Beyond weekly meal preparation, chefs may also host private dining events, teach cooking classes, lead corporate team-building workshops, and assist with special projects like menu design and event catering. This role differs from restaurant kitchen jobs by offering consistent, predictable hours, direct client interaction, creative menu freedom, and opportunities for advancement into events, education, and leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum of two to four years of line experience
- Sense of urgency
- People skills
- Attention to detail
- ServSafe Manager certification
- State-specific Allergen certification
- Reliable vehicle
- Culinary Experience: 2 years (Required)
- Cooking: 2-4 years (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience/familiarity with computer/email/Google Workspaces/social media is preferred
