Full-time Personal Chef - Boston, MA
About The Position
This full-time personal chef position offers a better work-life balance than typical sous chef or line cook roles, with consistent Monday through Friday hours (8 am–6 pm), providing evenings and weekends free. The role involves serving 8–9 clients weekly, managing grocery shopping, meal planning, cooking, and kitchen cleanup. Chefs will have the opportunity to explore various cuisines, build client relationships, host private dining events, teach cooking classes, lead corporate team-building workshops, and support special projects like menu design and catering. This position differs from restaurant kitchen jobs by offering predictable Monday-Friday hours, direct client interaction, creative menu freedom, and opportunities for growth into events, education, and leadership. Requirements
- Minimum of four years of line experience
- Sense of urgency
- People skills
- Attention to detail
- ServSafe Manager certification
- State-specific Allergen certification
- Reliable vehicle
- Culinary Experience: 2 years (Required)
- Cooking: 4 years (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience/familiarity with computer/email/Google Workspaces/social media is preferred
- Travel may be required during training
Responsibilities
