About The Position

Coast Care, through California's CalAIM initiative, aims to support individuals already caring for loved ones at home by providing training, support, and compensation. This role is for Personal Caregivers (PCGs) to assist eligible Partners in Care insurance members, who are enrolled in Medi-Cal and reside in San Bernardino, San Diego, Riverside, or Imperial County. The PCG will help their loved one stay safe, healthy, and independent at home, while receiving recognition and support for their caregiving efforts.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be actively caring for someone enrolled in Medi-Cal
• Must be physically able to perform caregiving duties
• Must be willing to complete required background checks, TB testing, and training

Nice To Haves

• Prior caregiving experience is helpful, but not required if you are already caring for a loved one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other daily living needs.
• Prepare and serve meals based on the loved one’s dietary needs.
• Provide reminders to help ensure medications are taken on time.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Offer emotional support, conversation, and meaningful connection.
• Keep simple records of care activities and observations as required.
