About The Position

At Coast Care, we recognize the invaluable role that family members and close friends play in supporting loved ones. Through San Diego Regional Center (SDRC) Respite Program, we’re proud to offer a program that allows individuals who are already caring for someone at home to receive training, support, and compensation for the care they provide. As a Personal Caregiver (PCG) - SDRC under this program, you’ll help your SDRC enrolled family member remain safe, healthy, and independent at home—all while being recognized and supported for the work you're already doing.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Actively enrolled in SDRC Respite Program
• Physically able to perform caregiving duties
• Willing to complete background checks, TB testing, and training

• Are already providing care to a family member or close friend who is enrolled in SDRC
• Want to receive support for the care they’re providing

Responsibilities

• Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Prepare and serve meals based on dietary needs
• Support timely and accurate medication intake
• Keep the home environment safe and clean
• Provide social and emotional support
• Keep simple records of care activities and observations
