About The Position

Clarity Care is seeking Personal Care Workers to join their team. This role offers a starting pay of up to $17/hr based on experience. Clarity Care is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with varying abilities so they can lead independent, fulfilling lives within their communities. The Personal Care Worker assists clients with personal cares, basic housekeeping, and client-specific duties.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified Personal Care Worker, or have previous experience providing personal cares and ability to successfully complete Personal Care Worker Orientation.
  • Must possess a high school diploma/equivalent and/or related work/life experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid WI driver’s license, and ability to meet agency driving standards.
  • Must provide proof of auto insurance.
  • Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Hands on Caregiving Experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists clients with personal cares, basic housekeeping, and client specific duties.
  • Ensures client safety.
  • Assists with bathing, toileting, and transfer assistance.
  • Performs meal preparation.
  • Performs cleaning and housekeeping duties.
  • Provides companionship.
  • Assists with shopping and transporting clients.
  • Runs errands for clients.
  • Completes all applicable documentation related to tasks assigned.
  • Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming home by performing housekeeping (vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom, dusting, bed making and changing linens) and laundry.
  • Prepares and serves meals by following general nutritional guidelines, menus, individual dietary restrictions, needs and preferences.
  • Provides medication reminders.
  • Spends time with the Member for companionship.
