About The Position
Clarity Care is seeking a Personal Care Worker to join their team in Appleton, WI. This is a full-time/part-time position with a salary range of $16.50 - $17.30 per hour. Clarity Care is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with varying abilities to lead independent, fulfilling lives. The Personal Care Worker assists clients with personal cares, basic housekeeping, and client-specific duties, including safety, bathing, toileting, transfer assistance, meal preparation, cleaning, companionship, shopping, transporting clients, and running errands.
Requirements
- Must be a certified Personal Care Worker, or have previous experience providing personal cares and ability to successfully complete Personal Care Worker Orientation.
- Must possess a high school diploma/equivalent and/or related work/life experience.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid WI driver’s license, and ability to meet agency driving standards.
- Must provide proof of auto insurance.
- Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.

Responsibilities
- Assists clients with personal cares, basic housekeeping, and client-specific duties.
- Ensures client safety.
- Assists with bathing, toileting, and transfer assistance.
- Prepares meals.
- Performs cleaning and housekeeping.
- Provides companionship.
- Assists with shopping.
- Transports clients.
- Runs errands.
- Completes all applicable documentation related to tasks assigned.
- Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming home by performing housekeeping (vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom, dusting, bed making and changing linens); and laundry.
- Prepares and Serves Meals by following general nutritional guidelines, menus, individual dietary restrictions, needs and preferences to ensure Members health.
- Provides Medication Reminders.
- Runs errands that consist of grocery shopping, etc.
- Provides Companionship by spending time with the Member.
