As a Resident Assistant in Personal Care, you'll play a meaningful role in supporting residents as they transition from independent living to assisted living.   • Maintains professionalism and composure in both routine and emotionally sensitive situations.
  • Can meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting with resident transfers.

  • Within 90 days of employment, team members in this position are required to complete the Med Tech course and successfully obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, mobility, and oral hygiene while honoring each resident's dignity and preferences.
  • Provide care according to each Resident Assessment and Support Plan (RASP) and supervisory direction.
  • Support residents with light housekeeping needs, including laundry, room tidiness, telephone assistance, and applying support stockings.
  • Assist with resident activities and engagement programs as needed.
  • Support dining services by serving beverages, delivering meals, and assisting residents during mealtimes.
  • Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly to the Charge Nurse.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake and output, and other required records.
  • Maintain infection control, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and other resident care needs.
  • Follow all HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, and Fairmount policies and procedures.
