Personal Care Nursing Assistant
About The Position
As an Enhanced Living (Personal Care) Nursing Assistant, you’ll support residents with daily living needs, promote independence, and help create a warm, person‑centered community. The Enhanced Living Nursing Assistant is charged with providing essential support to patients and residents with daily living activities under the supervision of the nursing staff. The Nursing Assistant is tasked with delivering compassionate, hands-on care to individuals who may require assistance due to age, illness, or disability. Our Nursing Assistants have the opportunity to explore opportunities to grow into a Med Tech with available training and observation on site.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or active PA Nurse Aide Registry status
- 18 years of age or older
Nice To Haves
- Nursing Assistant training preferred
- Experience in personal care, nursing home, or hospital setting preferred
- Strong judgment, compassion, and desire to work with older adults
- Ability to work cooperatively and follow direction
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living tasks
- Encourage independence and provide compassionate support
- Respond promptly to call bells and resident needs
- Report changes in condition to the Charge Nurse
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility
- Deliver meal trays and support dining needs
- Keep work areas clean and follow safety procedures
- Document care in PCC/POC
- Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA standards
- Participate in training, meetings, and team support
- Engage with residents through conversation and activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned
