About The Position

This role is for a Personal Care/Homemaking Caregiver with flexible hours and the opportunity for additional income. The organization aims to empower the independence of Coloradans. The position offers Daily Pay, allowing employees to access their earned wages on their schedule. It is also eligible for Paid Sick and Safe Time (PSST) under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act. The job involves providing light housekeeping, meal preparation, and potentially running errands or grocery shopping. Caregivers may also assist with personal care services like dressing, bathing, and grooming. The role requires interaction and cooperation with clients, coworkers, supervisors, family members, and community referral sources. Essential skills include general homemaking, excellent customer service, decision-making, effective communication, professional conduct, and maintaining a professional appearance. Confidentiality of client information is paramount. Caregivers work as part of a team to achieve the organization's mission and must maintain accurate client records.

Requirements

6 months experience providing homemaker or personal care services
Must be flexible and professional at all times
Ability to relate professionally and effectively to fellow employees, and program participants
Criminal background check and willingness to submit to random drug screenings is required
Must have the ability to interact and work cooperatively and effectively with our clients, coworkers, supervisors, family members, and community referral sources.
Must be able to perform general homemaking skills, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, make common sense decisions, and perform other duties as required.
Must communicate effectively, conduct themselves in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance that enhances Goodwill's reputation.
Must respect the confidentiality of each client.
Must maintain complete and accurate data and client records as required for this program.

Responsibilities

Provide light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, kitchen/bathroom/bedroom cleaning, and laundry services.
Prepare and serve meals and snacks.
May include running errands or grocery shopping.
Assist with personal services such as dressing, bathing, and grooming.
Interact and work cooperatively and effectively with clients, coworkers, supervisors, family members, and community referral sources.
Perform general homemaking skills.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Make common sense decisions.
Perform other duties as required.
Communicate effectively.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional appearance that enhances the organization's reputation.
Respect the confidentiality of each client.
Help ensure the best use of resources to achieve the mission.
Maintain complete and accurate data and client records.
Complete "ClearCare" which is the timekeeping system accurately and punctually.
Demonstrate flexibility.
Report important changes observed in the client’s home.
Complete incident reports as deemed necessary.
Communicate routinely and consistently with supervisors.
Deal effectively and calmly with non-routine situations and follow acceptable protocol guidelines.
Participate in all trainings and complete additional training as needed (12 hours of training annually is currently required).
