Personal Care Attendant - NorthPointe Terrace
About The Position
Beloit Health System has Immediate Opportunities for Personal Care Attendants/Certified Nursing Assistants to join NorthPointe Terrace. This role involves assisting residents who are functionally, physically, and or socially impaired with supportive, nursing, and personal care. The PCA/CNA is responsible for helping tenants with activities of daily living that they cannot perform independently, while fostering their independence and freedom of choice. The position ensures high-quality services are provided to tenants and their families, maintains compliance with all relevant regulations, and actively participates in tenant activities, providing feedback to the Activity Coordinator and Director. Additionally, the role involves assisting residents with self-administration of medications under RN supervision after completing an approved course, providing assistance with instrumental activities of daily living, conducting room checks and monitoring for safety hazards, and recording/reporting incidents.
Requirements
- Completion of accredited CNA program
- Must have Current IL CNA certification
- Must have a valid driver's license
- CPR Certification within 3 months
- Must complete the required medication training course
- Maintains appropriate levels of confidentiality at all times.
- Works collaboratively with peers and all team members.
- Follows up promptly and thoroughly with appropriate staff, tenants, or other individuals regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.
Responsibilities
- Assists residents to self-administer medications under supervision of Registered Nurse and after completion of approved medication course.
- Provides assistance with activities of daily living for tenants
- Provides assistance with instrumental activities of daily living
- Conducts room checks and tenant rounds/checks and monitors for environmental and safety hazards.
- Records incidents, errors, and accidents. Reports such occurrences to Director within 1 hour.
- Escorts tenants to dining room, sets up and cleans tables, serves meals, eat meals with tenants during mealtimes.
