The Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Home Care Department to ensure efficiency. This role involves coordinating training and development for PCAs, ensuring participant needs are met, and providing administrative support for the plan of care. The coordinator may attend Interdisciplinary Team meetings as a proxy, follow up on PCA compliance training, and maintain communication with participant families and caregivers. They will also assist with PCA placement, communicate schedule changes, and promote compliance and a positive culture within the department. Additional duties include filing, organizing documents, updating logs, conducting audits, coordinating meetings, and maintaining confidentiality. The role requires attendance at staff meetings and adherence to center policies.
