About The Position

Merakey is seeking a full-time Personal Care Assistant to join their Adult Behavioral Health program in Harrisburg, PA. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents in a Personal Care Home (PCH) setting, supporting their mental and physical well-being through direct care and supervision. The Personal Care Assistant will carry out daily care responsibilities and actively participate in individualized treatment plans for residents diagnosed with mental health disorders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• An active, valid driver's license is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and implement activities and other special projects designed to strengthen independent and community living skills and socialization/leisure time.
• Build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.
• Engage consumers in appropriate life skills to develop abilities to live as independently as possible.
• Accompany consumers on trips outside the home for treatment, medical appointments, or activities.
• Provide transportation using a company vehicle as necessary.
