About The Position

Clarity Care is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to join their team. As a healthcare organization, Clarity Care offers careers that make a difference to people who need help. The Personal Care Worker assists clients with personal cares, basic housekeeping, and client-specific duties. They carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: client safety, bathing, toileting, transfer assistance, meal preparation, cleaning/housekeeping, companionship, shopping, transporting clients, and running errands.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified Personal Care Worker, or have previous experience providing personal cares and ability to successfully complete Personal Care Worker Orientation.
  • Must possess a high school diploma/equivalent and/or related work/life experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid WI driver’s license, and ability to meet agency driving standards.
  • Must provide proof of auto insurance.
  • Must pass a periodic WI Caregiver Background Checks including Department of Justice Criminal Record Checks, and/or that of previous states of residence.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assists clients with personal cares, basic housekeeping, and client-specific duties.
  • Ensures client safety.
  • Assists with bathing, toileting, and transfer assistance.
  • Performs meal preparation.
  • Conducts cleaning/housekeeping.
  • Provides companionship.
  • Assists with shopping, transporting clients, and running errands.
  • Provides hands-on care, assisting with activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
  • Uses mobility devices and practices safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
  • Completes all applicable documentation related to tasks assigned.
  • Maintains a safe, sanitary, and welcoming home by performing housekeeping (vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom, dusting, bed making and changing linens) and laundry.
  • Prepares and serves meals by following general nutritional guidelines, menus, individual dietary restrictions, needs, and preferences.
  • Provides medication reminders.
  • Runs errands such as grocery shopping.
  • Spends time with the Member for companionship.
