About The Position

This role involves providing essential care and support to residents, ensuring their service plans are followed diligently and their well-being is prioritized. The Personal Care Assistant will work closely with residents, documenting any changes in their condition and adhering to all company policies and governmental regulations. A strong emphasis is placed on quality assurance, safety, teamwork, and effective communication to create a positive living and working environment.

Requirements

Adherence to applicable laws and company policies for resident care and documentation.
Understanding and compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
Ability to work safely and report unsafe actions.
Compliance with Safety Committee Standards.
Ability to foster teamwork and assist co-workers.
Effective communication skills for resident needs.
Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Follow the services outlined in each resident’s service plan in a friendly, respectful and supportive manner.
Document any observed change of condition in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
Comply with the quality assurance process and take steps to ensure that services delivered are complete and designed for each resident.
Report identified issues not supporting quality services to the immediate supervisor for correction.
Understand and follow all company policies as well as all local, state, and federal rules and regulations as they apply to services delivered for all residents, including updates and amendments to those rules, regulations and policies.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines.
Work in a safe manner in conjunction with other employees.
Report any unsafe actions immediately to supervisor and ensure such actions are corrected.
Be compliant with Safety Committee Standards.
Foster teamwork with co-workers, take actions which assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
Communicate between Personal Care Assistants on resident needs.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
