About The Position
Guardian Angel Senior Services is seeking caring, reliable Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their homes. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a real difference in someone's life. Eligible applicants can receive free Home Health Aide (HHA) training and certification, providing an excellent pathway to start or advance a career in home care.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Clear English communication skills-speaking, reading, and writing
- A respectful, patient, compassionate, and dependable approach
- Strong time-management skills and attention to client safety
- Willingness to follow care plans, health standards, and agency guidelines
Nice To Haves
- Prior PCA, HHA, CNA, or caregiving experience is helpful, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, grooming, and meals
- Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
- Preparing meals with clients whenever possible
- Providing medication reminders
- Helping with grocery shopping, errands, and other daily tasks
- Completing light housekeeping, such as laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and bathroom cleaning
- Observing clients' well-being and reporting changes to the care team
- Responding appropriately and responsibly during emergencies
