Personal Care Assistant/Home Health Aide
About The Position
A&C Private Home Care is hiring compassionate, dependable Personal Care Aides to provide personalized, one-on-one support to clients across Georgia. The role supports immobile, recovering, or frail clients with daily routines, personal care, companionship, household tasks, mobility, errands, and transportation to medical appointments. Caregivers are expected to maintain a safe, hygienic environment and report changes in clients’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions. The position emphasizes safe transfers, respect for client dignity, and clear communication about comfort and changing needs. Prior home-care experience is preferred but not required; training and support are provided.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification before starting.
- Current TB test, or willingness to obtain one before beginning work.
- Flexible schedule availability.
- Ability to manage and organize clients’ routines effectively.
- Ability to assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and errands.
- Compassionate, reliable, and punctual approach to caregiving.
Nice To Haves
- At least 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Prior home-care experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide support, company, and comfort to immobile, recovering, or frail clients.
- Report changes in clients’ physical, mental, and emotional conditions to relevant parties.
- Assist with personal hygiene, including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth.
- Engage clients in suitable activities, such as playing games, taking walks, and having conversations.
- Perform basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Assist clients with household finances, bills, and payments, and run errands.
- Accompany clients on outings and arrange transportation to medical appointments.
- Provide mobility support, including assistance with walking aids and wheelchairs.
- Maintain a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment.
- Perform transfers safely using proper technique and respect clients’ dignity during personal care.
