Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved Personal Care Aide (PCA) or Nurse Aide training program preferred.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Current and valid driver’s license, with the ability to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with applicable laws
- Ability to work independently while following individualized care plans.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving experience is beneficial but not required.
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance preferred.
- Previous experience as a Homemaker Companion or in a similar role
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, walking support, and safety supervision.
- Prepare light meals and assist with eating when needed.
- Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and changing bed linens.
- Offer companionship through conversation and engaging daily activities.
- Help clients maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment.
- Document services provided and communicate any concerns or changes to the care team.
