About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mustang Care Assistant before and after school. This part-time position involves providing support and assistance to our Mustang Care program participants in grades K-6, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters personal growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to helping others and a passion for community service.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in caregiving or support roles preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Background check clearance may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with special needs populations is a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
• Monitor and report any changes in participants' physical or emotional well-being to the appropriate staff members.
• Collaborate with team members to implement individualized care plans and support participants in achieving their goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Assist in the planning and execution of community events and activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to participants, building trusting relationships.
