About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking dependable, compassionate Personal Care Aides to provide practical assistance and companionship to clients in their homes. The role supports clients in remaining safe, independent, and comfortable at home, including seniors and people living with Alzheimer’s or dementia. The company provides training and support; CNA certification and prior caregiving experience are not required.

Positions are available full-time and part-time, with flexible hours. Compensation is $16.00–$19.00 per hour. The role reports to Management & CNA Supervisor.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be dependable, responsible, and professional.
• Be able to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Hold CPR and First Aid certifications, or be willing to obtain them within two weeks.
• Have reliable transportation, valid insurance, and a good driving record.
• Pass a background check and TB test, or obtain them within two weeks.

Nice To Haves

• CNA certification.
• Previous caregiving experience.
• Previous home care or long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Help clients with mobility and safe transfers.
• Prepare meals and provide nutritional support.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Transport clients to appointments and errands.
• Support clients living with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Document care using the AxisCare app.
• Follow safety and infection-control procedures.
