About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences by building relationships, proactively reaching out to customers, and proposing suitable products, services, and digital solutions to support their financial success. Responsibilities include assisting customers with basic requests like opening new accounts, processing service requests, and submitting credit applications. The position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and Regulation Z (LO) due to customer contact involving dwelling-secured transactions, with ongoing employment contingent upon meeting all related requirements, including background checks and SAFE registration.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of interacting with customers experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations, including acceptable background investigation results
  • Meet the Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO)
  • Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays
  • Maintain cash drawer, cash handling and balancing, and spend time completing service-related tasks as needed
  • SAFE registration at the time of employment (Wells Fargo will initiate the process)
  • Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related Wells Fargo policies for LO positions (financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, criminal background standards, credit report assessment)
  • Meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary
  • Not eligible for Visa sponsorship

  • Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints

Responsibilities

  • Receive direction from managers and exercise judgement within defined policies and procedures
  • Develop understanding of bank products and services to connect to customers' needs
  • Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships
  • Provide appropriate options for bank products and services to customer
  • Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed
