The Personal Banker (Member Service Representative III) role focuses on providing World Class Member service to individuals visiting branch or service center locations. This position involves promoting credit union products and services to build relationships, processing various financial transactions (savings, consumer loans, real estate loans, auxiliary services), and delivering face-to-face assistance. The role requires consultative services to assess Member needs, address concerns, and gain agreement. Responsibilities include processing new memberships, additional share accounts, loan requests, and loan fundings, as well as performing advanced account research and problem resolution. Documentation for accounts and loans must be completed according to credit union procedures. The Personal Banker will develop specific knowledge of credit union savings and loan products and services, and begin to concentrate on a specialty area within the branch (savings, consumer, or real estate loans). Additional duties include maintaining cash and negotiable items, potentially acting as a branch liaison to support departments, and suggesting operational improvements. The role also involves various file maintenance tasks, such as processing change of address requests, check orders, and ATM card orders. Vault custodian duties may be assigned. The position also requires compliance with regulatory requirements and assigned training, including BSA regulations.
