This role is hands-on, heart-first, and purpose-driven. You will support one individual in their daily life, helping build independence, confidence, and life skills. This is personalized care, not a group setting. You will assist with personal care, daily routines, and mobility when needed, and support medication routines per policy. You will also get out into the community for activities like shopping, events, and other real-life experiences. The goal is to help plan a meaningful day based on the individual's preferences, not a cookie-cutter schedule. You will also keep documentation accurate (notes, logs, etc.) and act as an advocate, support system, and part of the individual's circle. The bottom line is helping someone live life on their terms.
