About The Position

QSL Management is seeking a Personal Assistant for The Barclay at Sarasota. The role supports assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening, assistance with activities of daily living, and help with activities that keep residents engaged. The position also involves observing and reporting changes in residents’ health and status, recording progress, and helping with light housekeeping, laundry, and dining as needed or directed by the leadership team. The listed pay is $19.00 per hour. The role is temporary and PRN, with shifts that vary and may include 6 a.m.–2 p.m., 2 p.m.–10 p.m., and 10 p.m.–6 a.m.

Requirements

• A caring heart and willingness to serve others.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Flexibility and readiness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred, but is not required unless required by the state.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience working with older adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and supportive listening to assisted living and memory care residents.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Report changes in residents’ health and status and complete daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assist residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assist with dining as needed or directed by the leadership team.
• Assist with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.
